Lemon Pound Cake with Icing
1 cup butter
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
5 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
1 teaspoon lemon extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 / 2 teaspoon baking powder
1 / 4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1 / 4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons butter
3 cups powdered sugar
3 tablespoons lemon juice
3 teaspoons grated lemon peel
Sweet Lemon Pound Cake With Icing
Grease and flour a 10-inch fluted tube pan.
In a large bowl mix butter and sugar until foamy,about 5 minutes.Beat the eggs,one after the other well after each addition. Stir lemon juice,lemon zest and extract.
Added in a separate bowl,combine the flour,baking powder and salt to the creamy mixture alternately with sour cream. Beat just until combined.Pour into tube pan.
Bake for 55-60 minutes is used or until a toothpick near the center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes before frying pan on a wire rack to cool completely.

In a small mixing bowl,whisk the sour cream and butter.Gradually,the powdered sugar.Whisk lemon juice and lemon peel.Drizzle over cake.
